Technical Support Engineer

6 month contract opportunity providing Level 2 support for internal and external users in an exciting industry.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3 years in a service and support environment - preferably dealing with internal and external customers.
• Competent demonstrable Unix/Linux OS skills (you understand how to use Unix commands to support troubleshooting)
• Capability to review and update, and optimise scripts (Unix)
• Windows Server OS 2016/2019 skills (you understand how to use Windows commands to support troubleshooting)
• Capability to review and update, and optimise scripts (Win batch and PowerShell)
• Competent using utilities to troubleshoot application and network related problems.
• Practical understanding of networking systems (TCP, DNS, WAN, VLAN, VPN, basic switching technologies)
• Capability to use SQL queries to extract relevant data.

In this high energy role, you will work with the IT Operations team to provide Level 2 support for a variety of different internal users and external clients.

Please note for this role you MUST HAVE:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia & eligibility for Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
• Valid Driver’s License

Please note this will be shift based work between the hours of 6am-12am. All suitable applicants must be available to work during these hours.
