Description:
Client in Kennesaw is immediately hiring for a Technical Support Center Engineer to provide technical support and solutions to customers and field service engineers. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The position is on-site M-F, 8-5.
Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electronic and electromechanical systems, provide support via phone, remote access, or on-site visits, assist with testing equipment, software, and application questions, and collaborate with production and engineering departments
*REQUIREMENTS:*
- Troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical systems based on schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Provide technical support to customers and field service engineers regarding testing equipment, calibration equipment, procedures, software support, application support, and system validation.
- Assist the service operations team with technical questions and administrative details.
- Help customers with testing equipment, software, or application questions through various channels.
- Act as a liaison between customers and production/engineering departments for complex issues.
- Perform in-house repairs, testing system modernizations, and rebuilds as needed.
- Modify customer specifications and design new test methods when required.
- Conduct field visits as necessary, depending on the complexity of the issue or availability of the field service team.
- Assist with calibration equipment or urgent part needs for the field service team.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
- Associate degree or vocational apprenticeship with at least 3 years of job-related technical experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, minimal programming experience, machining experience, and/or welding.
- Preferred experience with materials testing software (e.g., testXpert).
- Proficiency in CRM software, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
- Fluency in English and German is a strong plus.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
