Technical Support Specialist Managed Cloud ( Backup )

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Backup and Infrastructure Specialist within the Managed Cloud team, your primary responsibility will be to manage various cloud platforms, implement dedicated customer solutions, and provide day-to-day operational support. You will work on upgrading existing platforms, advising on solutions, and delivering new platforms while ensuring adherence to challenging SLAs and KPIs across a diverse range of customers with varying objectives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Total IT Experience: 5-10 Years
• Relevant Technical Experience: 5 Years
• VEEAM and Netbackup experience is essential.
• Experience in managing large and complex enterprise services.
• Experience in managing cloud-based platforms.
• Strong team player with excellent multitasking skills.
• Expertise in backup tools and agents configuration and deployment.
• Clear communication skills across various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage capacity, performance, and troubleshoot issues.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Exposure to Managed Services.
• Knowledge of storage solutions (NetAPP, DELL, EMC, etc.).
• Experience with VMs and templates deployment.
• Strategic thinking and evaluation abilities.
• Excellent influencing and persuasion skills.
• Experience in driving operational excellence and lean methodologies.
• Technical knowledge of Windows Server Management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PSH, WMI, Python.
• Certification in relevant areas is beneficial.

• Support existing virtualized, storage, and backup environments.
• Address incidents, requests, and changes to meet Service Level Agreements.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and document standards and procedures.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and assist in project deliveries.
• Follow ITIL-based change procedures and ensure security procedures are maintained.
• Provide on-call support and mentor/train team members.
