Job Title: Technical Technician in Electrical Engineering
Salary: Business Support Scale 5, Point 20 - 22 - £24,297 – £26.535 per annum.
Contract: NSG Business Support, Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Annual Leave: 30 days plus statutory Bank Holidays
Pension: NEST Pension Scheme
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Commitment to continuous professional updating
- A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
- To hold a relevant trade qualification (desirable)

Responsibilities:
The technical technician’s role in Electrical Engineering is to provide support to teaching staff in workshop environments during practical lessons. Supplemented by a range of technician duties including but not limited to undertaking stock control of consumable items, checking of items when delivered and have overall control of the equipment and facilities for the Engineering department, and actively support all modifications to workshops.
