Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE

As a Technical Writer – Content Specialist at Gexcon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our
users fully understand our software products’ features and capabilities. You’ll be responsible
for developing high-quality documentation and educational content that supports our diverse
user base. Your work will help users navigate our software applications with ease, enhancing
their overall experience.

THE ROLE

The responsibilities include:

  • Documentation Creation: Produce comprehensive, detailed documentation that meetsindustry standards and aids end-users.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement content strategies for new product features.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand productrequirements and translate them into user-friendly content.
  • Educational Content: Create blogs, knowledge base articles, e-learning materials, tutorialcontent, and videos to showcase software features.
  • Technical Writing: Write software release notes, technical guidelines, and instructionmanuals.
  • Webinars and Videos: Develop and deliver webinars and “how-to” videos to support usereducation.
  • Content Maintenance: Ensure all external product documentation is current, accurate, andproperly versioned.
  • User-Centric Approach: Simplify technical jargon into clear, understandable language fordiverse audiences.

To be successful in the role, you must have the following:

  • Proven experience in technical content creation within the software industry.
  • Educated to degree level in a Science, Technology, Engineering
  • Preferably with knowledge of the process safety industry, includingsafety concepts related to fires, explosions, and toxic hazards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and results-oriented.
  • Commercial Mindset: Able to work independently with a commercial mindset.
  • Customer-Oriented: Passionate about creating content that enhances user experience.
  • Team Player: Collaborative with a good sense of humour and able to work well with others
