We recently launched JetBrains AI, a new service that provides AI capabilities to existing JetBrains products while also powering new ones like JetBrains AI Assistant.
We’re looking for a technical writer to help us organize the JetBrains AI documentation, including API descriptions, external communication, internal guidelines, and best practices for the development of AI features.
In this role you will:
- Create clear and technically precise documentation for the JetBrains AI service and its integrated applications.
- Maintain the existing documentation, regularly updating and improving it.
- Work closely with the development team to get a clear understanding of how the service works.
- Analyze the needs of both internal and external users.
- Create guidelines, documentation, and other materials to explain how to use the service efficiently.
We will be happy to have you on our team if you have:
- Over 2 years of technical writing experience.
- Excellent written English.
- The ability to learn quickly.
- Experience working with a large documentation base.
- Knowledge of markup languages.
- Experience with authoring tools, issue tracking, and version control systems.
- A general understanding of single-source authoring.
We’d be especially thrilled if you:
- Understand user needs.
- Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills with a keen eye for editing and formatting.
- Have experience writing documentation for APIs and SDKs.
Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the development team to get a clear understanding of how the service works.
- Analyze the needs of both internal and external users.
- Create guidelines, documentation, and other materials to explain how to use the service efficiently
