Description:

Assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.
Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling and other basic workshop activities
Learns Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follows documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance
Assists with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screens
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided work flows, procedures, specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validates repair by duplicating complaint to ensure it has been resolved; documents results of troubleshooting in business systems to communicate what has been done for payment and historical tracking.
Electronic Service Tool Application - Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilizes the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain the product or diagnose and troubleshoot an issue; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps for service resolution.
Product Repair and Maintenance - Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
Electrical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies basic electrical theories and electronics components knowledge using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
Mechanical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS

Secondary school diploma or equivalent
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

EXPERIENCE

Minimal level of work shop experience required or basic level knowledge of engine products
Basic mechanical knowledge
Washing of engine and engine parts and storage of components in process.
Preparation of repaired engines for the painting process.
Control of consumables in the sector, control of workshop tools, disposal of waste in the sector, etc.
Participates and collaborates with higher level technicians in engine evaluations for repair.
Develop knowledge of the procedures described in Quickerve online, aligning standard repair times.
Identifies engine family, components and all products, whether mechanical or electronic engines.
Carry out checks, controls and validation of machines, equipment, tools.
Complete the forms associated with each team on a daily basis or those established in the procedure.
Knowledge and management of equipment required in service operations, handling of forklifts, lifting equipment, etc.
Collaborate in the generation of parts lists, develop Quickerve knowledge.
Generate technical reports in digital format (word / Excel) or platforms, on the general condition of the engine, type of improvements, reception, disassembly and evaluation, diagnosis, repair and bench testing.
