Crawford Street Distribution Centre collects a third of all Fonterra’s dairy ingredients in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions, distributing more than 33,000 containers of various products a year!

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY | TE WHIWHINGA MAHI

In this newly created role, we are seeking a skilled Technician to join our Asset Management Automation team specific to Crawford St (Cool & Dry). In this brand-new team, you will be responsible for conducting regular preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. Working as part of a small team, no two days will be the same as you work on a blend of engineering tasks, system analysis and maintenance responsibilities.

ABOUT YOU | KO WAI KOE

A passion for continuous improvement is a pivotal aspect of this role. In addition, will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to different levels of the business.
A natural problem solver you’ll enjoy being efficient and looking for ways to improve business continuity and see issues before they arise. In addition, as there is an on-call component of this role, you’ll be able to react quickly and think on your feet to get the best outcome to keep our product moving.

OTHER KEY SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • A trade qualified background or strong experience in industrial manufacturing, automation or engineering
  • Excellent computer and technology skills
  • Solid experience in managing conflicting priorities and workloads.
  • A people person with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely to all levels of the business
