Job Description

MISSION

We’re looking for a supervisory technician to join our specialized Highway engineering team in our Quebec City office, made up of enthusiastic people recognized for their expertise and synergy.
You’ll benefit from ongoing training for professionals. You’ll participate in large-scale projects with major clients, primarily the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, MTMD). Whether you’d like to help improve the infrastructure of Quebec City’s strategic urban network (e.g., the Henri IV and Félix-Leclerc highways) or are more inclined to take on challenges in more remote rural or forested areas, we have the opportunities for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the highway engineering team to monitor work in progress
  • Supervise work and help solve problems on site
  • Compile quantitative site data and submit to engineers
  • Provide information on the interpretation of the final plans and specifications so that the contractor can carry out the work requested.
  • Check progress against plans and specifications
  • Prepare recommendations for acceptance of work and list of defects
    Qualifications

College diploma (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent

  • Completed worksite safety training (ASP Construction card)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Geographic mobility (an asset)
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
