Job Description
Reporting into the Technology Intelligence function, the Technology Analyst will support the team by researching key competitors, their portfolios and market activity. You will collect, aggregate, summarize overall findings and create reports that distill findings into key headlines. In addition, you will often be called on to present research to key stakeholders. Results will be used to inform decision makers with the most accurate and timely intelligence possible.

As a Research Data Specialist, you will work with multidisciplinary engineering and business teams to collect, manage, and deliver critical decision support information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in science and technology.
  • Background in technological field. Other relevant research experience is valued.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to distil large amounts of content into succinct summaries and headlines.
  • Curiosity and the ability to learn quickly and think critically are foundational skills needed for this role.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Role will process and manage large amounts of collected data. New sources of data will also increase in the future. Accuracy in maintaining this data resource is imperative.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills and attention to detail. Able to process large amounts of information quickly and assess it critically.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in industrial automation.
  • Background in journalism or other technical writing experience.
  • Global mindset and ability to interact effectively with a global organization.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and produce deliverables individually or in partnership with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering - research and aggregate relevant content on the implementation of key technologies in the market today. Collaborate across multiple teams also collecting related information.
  • Synthesis - study and distill findings and generate summaries that highlight the most relevant findings.
  • Demonstrate usage and workflows of competitive software offerings.
  • Report and Present - create reports that clearly articulate findings for a range of audiences. Effectively present findings to a range of audiences from technical subject matter experts to stakeholders without deep technical backgrounds.
