Description:

DESCRIPTION

The Business Analyst works with Project Managers on small or large tasks to help determine areas of growth and works with various software programs and designated teams within Purolator to formulate proper workflows and templates. The analyst interprets results using a variety of techniques to maintain business solutions. The analyst reports to sales, marketing, operations, finance or Customer Relationship Management function where exposure to complex business problems lead to highly coordinated and time-sensitive projects.

EDUCATION

  • University education in commerce, computer sciences, management engineering or data science.
  • Specialized courses or certificates from Big Data/Data management program

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • 5 years experience using PowerBI
  • 5 years experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets including SAP, Salesforce, Teradata, Call Centre data, Verint, Financials, and/or other database systems /datasets

Responsibilities:

  • Use advanced analytics for solving business problems
  • Provide project support to corporate initiatives from other departments that need representation from Enterprise Analytics
  • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining
  • Co-Design, co-develop, and maintain business solutions
  • Complete incoming requests, make commitments, and communicate directly with the client, manager, and leadership on the stage of the project alongside keeping the audience informed along the way
  • Develop and adhere to informal service level agreements, collaborate and negotiate timelines that make sense for the client/ team and initiative
  • Develop and maintain datasets, business rules, reports, and corporate dashboards, to support regular reporting, monitoring, analyses, and decision-making
  • Prepare data – plan what is needed to answer the business question sourcing the correct data
  • Develop hypothesis and analyze the data to prove/refute the hypothesis
  • Prepare findings for consumption by stakeholders and leadership
