Responsibilities:

This director will have the opportunity to be responsible for technology strategy, execution and support for commercial lending businesses. The primary business functions supported by this role have several large transformational programs in flight. These programs are part of the broader Lending Transformation effort with visibility to Wells Fargo Operating Committee. Including strong understanding of Commercial and Corporate Lending business and additional experience in developing technology strategy, creating business cases, develop technology target-state solution architecture, and delivering large transformational efforts focusing on application rationalizing, modernization and migrating to cloud.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage accountability for the relationship with the Senior leadership team of the Commercial Bank and Wholesale Lending Operations team as well as the Commercial Bank Controllers organization
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned for the vision, roadmap, innovation, and delivery of technology priorities to ensure business and technology objectives are met
  • Build support and maintain strong relationships with other functional area CIOs, Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, CTO, Enterprise Data and Digital groups as well as critical enterprise partners (e.g., Information Security, Data Management & Insights, International and Enterprise Global Services)
  • Guide development to define the technology strategy and roadmaps, provide strategic technology perspectives to technology and business executive management and recommend innovations that are aligned with short term & long-term business and customer requirements, enterprise priorities and industry trends
  • Identify opportunities and strategies as a leader for a variety of activities in partnership with the Business and CTO organizations, including launching and expanding new technology solutions (Cloud, AI/ML, blockchain), systems integration, and various operational efficiency/workflow improvements
  • Provide oversight for Security, Stability and Resiliency of all the applications in the portfolio
  • Set guidelines for technology solutions that efficiently and effectively meet business needs while leveraging enterprise technology services with a bias towards consistency, standards, and common solutions. You will provide re-usable, scalable, and secure solutions that can be leveraged across the organization
  • Collaborate and influence technology and business leaders to ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with business, enterprise, and Wells Fargo Technology priorities
  • Demonstrate business partner value by understanding the business, advocating technology solutions to advance business initiatives, incorporating internal and external customer views while managing key financial indicators to the benefit of Well Fargo’s shareholders
  • Interface and lead senior technology perspectives on industry trends, competitive landscape and market/regulatory changes leveraging industry contacts, vendors, and strategic technology partner relationships
  • Develop and guide current staff capabilities and development , identify talent gaps, and execute talent management actions aligned with human capital strategy
