Description:

HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Extensive hands on experience with technical software system implementation, preferably in a mining environment
  • Extensive hands on experience with IT system architectures, networking infrastructure and enterprise level computing hardware/applications
  • Practical experience with (mining) heavy vehicle onboard technology installation, system configuration and commissioning
  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4 years experience in a related technical/engineering role
  • Experience implementing fully and semi autonomous systems as well as Fleet Management systems is highly desirable
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute projects both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to undertake 25% domestic and international travel

Responsibilities:

To perform duties as an autonomous technical and application consultant for the initial deployment and solution upgrades of the CAT MineStar autonomous technology product suite for new and existing customer sites. You will work directly with CAT dealers and customers throughout the project phases including solution design, planning, installation and configuration of the onboard hardware and system software, testing, and system commissioning/integration to meet commercial contracts and customer needs.
Initially, this role will be focused on surface mining applications of CAT MineStar Edge, CAT Command for Drilling and CAT Command for Dozing, with potential exposure to Command for Hauling, MineStar Fleet and underground technologies.

Job duties include by not limited too :

  • Design, install and configure the complete MineStar system to meet commercial contract and site specific needs
  • Support the implementation of system modules to specification and configure modules based on requirements gathered from customer’s business analysis
  • Planning and execution of integrated testing and customer acceptance testing
  • Technical problem identification and resolution, including responding customer questions
  • Provide implementation technical training to end users and system administrators
  • Perform implementation and integration tasks for internal and external customers
  • Assist with documentation, training and functional specifications
  • Follow and/or execute project management process and implementation assignments
  • Providing basic training on our standard implementation processes and MineStar systems
