Telecoms Designer (m/w/d)

YOUR IMPACT:

We’re looking for a Telecoms Designer (m/w/d).
Location: Magdeburg (Germany)

HERE’S WHAT WE NEED:

• Perform engineering and design tasks required to produce construction documents in collaboration with a team of engineers and designers
• Design of telecommunications cabling infrastructures based on customer design criteria, national and international regulations, TIA/EIA industry standards and the Telecom Distribution Methods Manual
• Responsibility for designing the following elements and systems: Backbone distribution, Horizontal distribution paths, Voice/data cables and connection hardware, Outdoor facilities, Telecommunication rooms
• Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines in developing designs
• Carry out quality controls on design services
• Conduct site visits and design reviews

Here’s what you’ll need:

• At least 5 years’ experience in design of telecom systems
• Data Centre experience preferable, or large scale industrial projects’ experience
• Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector
• Engineering/ design experience in the telecom systems
• Experience in equipment layout definition
• Working knowledge of NEC and current BICSI standards
• Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels
• Experience using REVIT and BIM
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and German
