Temporary Accommodation Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

This post offers an exciting opportunity manage the Council’s temporary accommodation stock and to support tenants nominated to the properties by the Council’s Housing Advice and Homelessness Team.

We are offering this opportunity to an experienced Housing Advisor or Housing Officer who:

• Is able to deal sensitively and objectively with people in difficult circumstances
• Has a proven track record in a public facing role, ideally housing related,
• Is able undertake tenancy sign ups and hand-backs, can undertake property inspections and comply with statutory legislation,
• Can work collaboratively with a range of colleagues, predominantly within the Housing Advice and Homeless Team, to support tenants in temporary accommodation to manage their accommodation and move-on successfully.
