Description:

The Temporary Staffing team provides a vital service to the Trust, helping support the organisation by filling staffing gaps using appropriately trained bank and agency workers.
Your role will be to ensure training and compliance checks for these workers are up to date, maintained and accurately recorded, supporting the work of the team making bookings for our temporary workforce, in order to ensure the best patient care on our wards
Your main base of work will be at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot although occasional travel to our other sites will be required.
Previous experience of working within a busy temporary staffing environment, HR, customer service, call centre or recruitment agency would be advantageous.
You will need to have excellent IT skills (Excel), as you will be required to use a number of systems on a daily basis; previous experience of using Allocate HealthRoster / BankStaff would be beneficial, although full training and support will be provided
You will have an excellent telephone manner and good interpersonal skills, as well as an organised and methodical approach, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail..

Ideally, you will have a background in NHS recruitment or compliance with excellent communication skills. This role will require communication with staff at all levels within the Trust and externally daily.
You will be required to work 5 days a week, working 37.5 hours within the week.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To create and maintain accurate training records to ensure that all bank staff in the Trust meet all Trust requirements relating to recruitment, training and relevant registrations.
Provide administrative support to ensure the effective deployment, management and payment of temporary staff in accordance with policies and procedures.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance
To work with other members of the Temporary Staffing Service and other Trust representatives to maintain and develop effective systems to ensure compliance requirements are carefully monitored and only bank workers who meet Trust requirements are permitted to work within the Trust.
To continuously monitor systems to ensure that workers who do not meet Trust requirements are identified and appropriate action taken. Trust requirements will include but are not limited to the following
Mandatory training requirements
Professional registrations
To liaise with the Temporary Staffing Compliance Co-ordinator and the Clinical Lead to address mandatory training and continuous professional development issues for bank workers.
To work in partnership with the Temporary Staffing Clinical Lead to identify training needs and ensure that bank nurses and health care assistants are given clinical support, supervision and local training where required.
To maintain an up to date knowledge of policies and other information relevant to the role eg training requirements for each staff group
To raise any concerns or complaints relating to bank workers to the Clinical Staffing Lead immediately, putting in place any restrictions on working necessary while further investigations are undertaken
