Description:

Outreach is hiring a Temporary Warehouse Assistant at Jubilee Furniture Carol Stream and Lombard to organize and move furniture. The schedule is less than 25 hours a week, including Saturdays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A passion for the mission of Outreach.
- 2 to 3 years of warehouse experience.
- Previous furniture moving experience.
- Previous small truck driving experience.
- Strong customer service skills and communication skills with professional presentation.
- Ability to lift and move large-sized furniture independently (up to 60 lbs).Additional physical requirements of the position include bending and kneeling to facilitate the movement of furniture.
- Basic computer and software skills.
- Valid IL driver’s license, auto insurance, and good driving record are required.

Responsibilities:
- The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for moving furniture in the warehouse and onto and off the sales floor.
- The Warehouse Assistant will assist with donation pickup and delivery.
- The Warehouse Assistant will assist the Warehouse Manager with general warehouse activities, including but not limited to janitorial activities such as cleaning restrooms, lunch room, store floors, warehouse floors, etc.; yard maintenance activities such as garbage pickup, snow shoveling, gardening, watering, etc. Furniture assembly activities – tables, bedframes, furniture received in flat boxes etc.
- The Warehouse Assistant will serve as a backup driver.
