Description:

The Tender Engineer reports to the Tender & Contracts Manager and is responsible for the below:

  • Review Tender Documents, sourcing for materials, suppliers and vendors to obtain and review quotes.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external vendors on pricing, scope & other contractual terms.
  • Assist with tender documentations preparation, cost reports and cost plans, administer and evaluate tender process and submit tender proposal reports
  • Administrative duties such as preparing bills of quantities.
  • Arrange/attend to tender queries and clarification meetings.
  • Follow up with the Project teams on variation order or change order, assess the associated variation costs.
  • Support project teams for monthly progress claims and billings.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WOULD POSSESS THESE QUALITIES AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min. 1-3 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical Services.
  • Proficient knowledge in understanding Isometric drawings, Piping & Equipment GA drawings.
  • Experience working in Semi-con, Data Centre, Pharma or O&G Green field construction is an advnatage
  • Able to work independently and as a team with good prioritization skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Enjoy challenging yourself in a fast pace environment.
