Tendering specialist, Substation Automation

In the role as substation automation tendering specialist, you are part of our Grid Automation Europe
tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. The tendering organization is truly international and located in
various locations across Europe. Your home base is Trutnov, CZ.
Your responsibilities
In this role you are responsible for leading tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to
operations. The activities include creating and completing bids/estimations/quotations based on customer’s
technical specification and other requirements to achieve both market competitiveness, high quality tenders and
profitable business.
Your field of operation is substation automation market and you will handle a variety of tenders in our customer markets.
The focus will be on project business and our fast-growing service business.

Key activities:

• Creation of commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers, based on the specifications of our customer.
• Definition of the scope of supply to be offered.
• Close cooperation with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
• Cost calculation estimations and determination of the costs, margins, and sales price in cooperation with sales.
• Tender planning and on time tender submittals.
• Technical support to sales during and during early pursuit stages as well as supporting the contract negotiation.
• Preparation of tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.
