POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a seasoned DevOps enthusiast eager to make an impact in the IoT space? Terra Insights, a leader in geotechnical and geospatial monitoring solutions, is looking for a DevOps Engineer focusing on Kubernetes and containerization to join our innovative team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in a CI/CD toolchain.
  • Proven expertise with Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Experience with Docker and docker-compose.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Navigate monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack) with ease.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with MQTT brokers such as Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, Mosquitto.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in containerized environments.
  • Experience with industrial IoT applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated deployment pipelines with a primary focus on Azure DevOps.
  • Design and build out Kubernetes clusters on leading cloud platforms.
  • Manage and optimize k8s for peak performance and efficient resource utilization.
  • Be instrumental in team’s journey towards security accreditations.
  • Implement and oversee containerization technologies, with a specific focus on Docker.
  • Other additional duties as required
