REQUIREMENTS

  • Sales experience, preferably dairy;
  • An understanding and/or experience of dairy production systems and farm performance (both production and commercial);
  • An understanding ofartificial breeding practices in cattle;
  • Strong communication skills that will allow you to build and maintain credibility at end user level and allow you to be comfortable working in a relationship based, customer facing role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in an agribusiness or technical discipline will be highly regarded;
  • A current driver’s license and a willingness to travel throughout the territory on a regular basis are essential.

Responsibilities:

ROLE

Due to their ongoing significant expansion, there is now an outstanding and rare opportunity for a passionate sales professional to join their team for the Gippsland area. To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills at all levels within the Dairy industry and have relevant experience or a strong understanding of the artificial breeding or Herd Improvement Industry. You will have a good understanding of technology and an ability to sell a technical product. You will also have superior organisation and presentation skills and want to and feel comfortable working in a relationship based, customer facing role within a small but dynamic company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve the gross sales budget for the year;
  • Optimise sales and profits through implementation of approved marketing plans and campaigns;
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with dairy and beef producers;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and marketing plans for the territory;
  • Strategic area planning delivering quality and quantity of customer calls;
  • Display knowledge regarding the products, industry and competitor’s offerings.
