Description:
Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit a Test Analyst contract to 11/04/2025 plus 2 x 12 months optional extension based at Carseldine and working from home.
In this role you will:
- Perform functional, non-functional and regression testing using manual and automated test techniques, practices, and tools
- The Test Analyst will operationally plan, design, execute and report on testing to ensure ICT solutions meet the customer’s quality expectations
- The Test Analyst will use risk and requirements-based testing principles to ensure test coverage and traceability meet requirements and specifications.
- Perform operational software testing activities for Information & Communication Telecommunications (ICT) solutions and be accountable for the testing outcomes
- Develop a strong understanding of the ICT solution, business, and technical requirements, and apply tangible testing activities at the appropriate levels of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- The Test Analyst will use their capabilities and experience to create, plan, execute and maintain:
- Functional testing using ISTQB test technique so Non-functional testing using ISTQB test techniques against ICT solution quality characteristic so Test automation to perform basic execution and analyse results, report issues, and demonstrate basic knowledge of practices and tools Regression and End to
- End (E2E) testing that validate, and quality assure business scenarios and business requirements
- Perform and assist with defect reporting, triage, and retesting, perform basic investigations into defect root causes
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with delivery teams, stakeholders, and customers to identify testing objectives and potential benefits
- Report on the quality of ICT solutions using test driven metrics, analysis, and investigations
- Ability to work independently and provide software testing advice to key stakeholders, including risk and issue identification and help to determine the testability of functional and non-functional requirements
- Assist with improving testing processes and methodologies and promote testing best practices, investigate problems and opportunities, and contribute
- to innovations and solutions
- Build and maintain knowledge and expertise in testing and IT solutions, take responsibility for own learning and development needs and build the skills of others through knowledge transfer.
You will have:
- Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable. Requirements (Mandatory)
- International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®) Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or international equivalent. Desirable
- Demonstrated recent functional testing experience
- Basic SQL writing and execution skills
- Knowledge or experience with JIRA and Confluence.
