The New Zealand Debt Management (NZDM) Technology Team plays a crucial role in supporting the core functions of the NZDM Directorate at the Treasury. We are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of specialist financial markets systems and information capability. Our team develops and maintains both bespoke internal systems and integrated external applications that are vital to the effective operation of NZDM and Te Tai Ōhanga

Ō PŪMANAWA | ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow, bringing:

  • Some experience or knowledge of software testing and quality assurance,
  • An understanding of technical testing concepts, including practical T-SQL,
  • An interest in Financial Markets or a willingness to learn about this,
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to create original concepts and approaches to a variety of business needs,
  • The ability to learn new things quickly and pro-actively develop new skills.

You will ideally be in the early stages of your testing career, looking for an exciting opportunity to build your skills and experience. You will be involved in the following:

  • Contribute to quality assurance activities across a range or internal and external systems,
  • Work closely with other team members, and gain hands-on technical testing skills and experience,
  • Support continuous improvement activities by enhancing our processes and methodologies,
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and end-users to deliver high-quality software that meets their needs

Responsibilities:
