Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Form Energy is hiring a Battery Test Engineer to join the Test Development team. In this position, you will design, develop, and implement test strategies to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of our energy storage products. You will leverage your strong background in component-level reliability testing, encompassing both electrical and mechanical aspects, as well as your expertise in EMI/EMC testing and functional testing of electronics in order to succeed in this position. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies for component-level testing, including electrical and mechanical stress testing, for energy storage system components.
  • Conduct electrical testing to assess the reliability and performance of individual components.
  • Plan and execute EMI/EMC tests to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and mitigate electromagnetic interference issues.
  • Design and execute functional tests to verify the proper operation of electronic systems and subsystems within energy storage products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test cases and procedures covering a range of operating conditions and use cases.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in product performance and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed test reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for design enhancements or corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of energy storage products.
