Test Engineer I

This role is responsible for reviewing the overall CSG Quote and Order Solutions by composing a test plan and test case, executing the tests, documenting the results, and analyzing the output. This role also works with Test & Defect Management tools, Test automation tools and scripting languages to complete basic tasks. Additionally, this role performs automated and manual test execution for functional of system testing, non-functional testing, and integration (API) testing.

What you’ll do

• You will report to Manager Test Business Operation to contribute toward developing an understanding of the feature’s requirements and how features are used while working with different applications and networking groups
• You will help launch new or upgraded hardware, software, and networking system while working with multiple applications and networking groups to resolve issues
• You will write structured test plans, specifications, and test strategies.
• Plan test cycles, timeline, and resource allocation for each test cycle.
• Perform acceptance testing for new features, focused testing on an area of weakness, regression tests, and testing of tedious areas.
• Performs automated and manual test execution for functional of system testing, non-functional testing, and integration (API) testing.
• You will contribute to the Testing Methodology by adding and updating CSG internal WIKI.
• Compile the test result in the test summary report and ensure the test summary is Kept up to date.
• Provide support (customer-facing) to clients during the execution of UAT.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business, related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience typically acquired through 1-2 years of experience.
• Working IT knowledge in software testing; research, design, methodologies/processes, implementation, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of testing tools and/or evaluation of testing tools.
• Working technical knowledge in testing methodologies and procedures.
• Working skills in planning and organizing test plan execution.
• Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work under direct supervision on limited scope.
• Ability to work in a team-orientated and fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of test plan development and test environments
