Description:
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will have primary responsibility for the development, qualification, and production test campaigns on various spaceflight assemblies ranging from mechanical, actuated, hydraulic, cryogenic, and/or pneumatic systems. As a member of the external test team, you will travel to the test facilities to build relationships with test houses and suppliers, witness and support test execution, ensure nominal operation, and troubleshoot off-nominal conditions and hardware. Other responsibilities include authoring and reviewing detailed test plans and procedures, performing test readiness reviews, conducting data reviews, and supporting the documentation and resolution of nonconformance’s. You will work cross functionally with design engineering, procurement, program management, and others to successfully plan and execute component test campaigns conducted offsite. This role will own delivery and maintenance of test fixtures, test support equipment, and data acquisition systems, and deliver results by leveraging support from tooling and equipment designers, procurement, and external test facilities as necessary to design and secure this hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant field. 3+ years of experience in component testing and data analysis.

Strong written, personal, and computer skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at the executive leadership level and on the shop floor.
Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment - experience managing suppliers is a plus.
Successfully managed simultaneous project schedules.
Passion for spaceflight and space exploration.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
