Description:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
As a Test Engineer (m/f/x) for Battery Systems you will work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, developing battery and powertrain systems for a fully-electrified aircraft propulsion technology. Your responsibilities will therein be both in test rig development as well as pushing the battery system to its limit to test its performance.
SKILLS:
- MSc, PhD or equivalent degree in electrical/power/mechatronics engineering or a related field required
- Good knowledge of Li-ion batteries and battery systems
- Professional experience in testing battery systems in a lab environment
- Good knowledge of BMS functions, CAN systems and battery test bench software
- Experience in working with battery testing equipment like high power supplies and loads or data acquisition systems
- Experienced in the use of battery module and battery system testing benches (AVL, Kratzer, Basytec or similar)
- Strong motivation to help build structures and processes
- Fluent English language skills
- a further plus would be:
- EFK +AuS Status/Experience (Level 3E according to DGUV 209-093) for HV-Systems or similar hands on experience
- Experience in the automotive or aerospace field ( CS-23, DO-160, DO-311)
- German or other language skills
Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of tests for multi-MW battery systems such as cells, modules, packs and other electric components
- Managing and setting up the lab environment, e.g. planning, setup and maintenance of test spaces and equipment
- Analysis, interpretation and reporting of test data and results
- Developing and operating test benches for electrical, electrochemical, electromechanical components, e.g. battery abuse tests
- Support of production planning and end-of-line test setup
- Close collaboration with other engineering department, especially battery systems development
