Description:

Flight Simulation Labs is seeking an Experienced, Video Technician to join the Flight Simulation Labs located in Berkeley, MO.
This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team and the applicant will be working in a fast pace environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware requiring technical skills in both electronic hardware development and trouble shooting. This is a hands on role where you will be supporting repairs, modifications, and fabrication of Lab equipment and Simulators.
Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies. Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown. Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews. Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems. Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs. Coaches and trains others. Works under general direction. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with electronic/video hardware testing and/or troubleshooting
  • 8+ years working with video systems
  • Experience with large scale projection systems
  • Experience with analogue and digital video
  • Experience with electronic trouble shootingExperience with (modern) video distribution

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Active Security Clearance Pre-start
  • Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
  • Experience working with electronics and/or mechanical systems in design fabrication and test
  • Experience with color balancing on a large-scale setting
  • Experience working with Avionic/Flight Simulation equipment
  • Experience with installation / maintenance of Video Display Walls or Mulit-Display systems
  • Experience with Fiber Distribution
  • Experience with Fiber-Optic Troubleshooting
