As Ampol evolves its digital transformation, and becomes increasingly reliant on digital applications, data engineering poducts and modern enterprise solutions to drive operations, customer interactions, and innovation, we are seeking a Test Practice Lead to ensure that applications and products are not only functional but scalable, reliable, of the highest quality.
Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, the Test Practice Lead will play a pivotal in transitioning traditional business models to digital platforms, ensuring that the transition is smooth, risk-managed, and aligned with overall business goals. This role requires an experienced leader who has extensive experience in leading Test teams, scaling capability and leveraging automation to improve the overall effectiveness of Testing.

You’ll take us further by:

• Lead, mentor and grow the Test Practice capability at Ampol, defining ways of working and leading the adoption of best practices in testing and automation
• Work closely with software engineering, product management and UX teams to integrate testing best practices into the development and deployment process
• Lead the development and execution of the test automation strategy for digital applications, data projects, and enterprise technology focusing on innovation and quality.
• Lead the Selection of Enteprise Test autmation Patterns and Technology choices
• Lead the Test Practice in the planning, design, execution and maintenance of test strategies and test plans across multiple initiatives, ensuring high quality test coverage
• Manage and mentor a diverse and distributed Test team, ensuring effective collaboration across locations and time zones, fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation
• Manage budgets, resources and project timelines related to testing initiatives
• Promote a culture of quality throughout the organisation
