QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Odoo or similar ERP system preferred but not necessary
  • Experience in use of test equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyser and signal generator
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Respect and appreciation of process
  • Strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle pressure
  • Clear communication (both verbal and written) with team members of all parts of the business
  • “Can do” attitude and willingness to help in variety of tasks, including occasional tasks unrelated to the core role

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Team is expanding in response to increased production quantities and product complexity. DroneShield is looking to recruit a Test Technician who will help to ensure products are built to a high standard and are meeting our product specifications.
The position will report primarily to the Team Lead Manufacturing and will work closely with the Production Team, members of the Operations Team and the NPI Team. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast moving ASX listed defence technology company.

RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Responsible for all product testing according to our test instruction
  • Recording of test results and maintaining of Quality Check Points in our ERP system
  • Continues improvement of test setup and test procedures
  • Maintenance of test equipment and jigs (including RF enclosure)
  • Troubleshooting of failing units
  • Support the creation of test plans
  • Support Manufacturing as required
