Description:
Job Summary: As a Testing and Transition Coordinator, you will play a vital role in facilitating the weekly testing sessions with numerous students from different levels of language proficiency at the same time. Responsible for smooth testing sessions for individuals undergoing significant life changes in adult education, such as transitioning from one stage of education to another and breaking the barriers of language. Testing is key to maintaining our standards and building the data we need to show results and meet our goals, with grantors. Testing offers the transition to relocating to new levels of education. Your primary responsibility will be to support individuals in navigating these transitions by providing guidance, resources, and personalized assistance tailored to their unique needs and circumstances using our testing and data platforms.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in transition services, case management, counseling, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of human development, transitions theory, and relevant social services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competency. Knowledge of community resources, support networks, and referral processes.
- Proficiency in documentation, record-keeping, and data management. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals through accomplishing goals with the use of testing tools and transitions.
- Experience with CASAS eTests and WorkReadyU client database is a plus or must be willing to learn the database/software. Have reliable transportation.
