Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Theatre is seeking a part-time (20 hrs per week) Scene Shop Assistant for the 24-25 academic year to work in the Hartung Theatre scene shop under the supervision of the Technical Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- experience with wood shop tools such as saws, drills, grinders, pneumatics;
- knowledge of building materials and hardware;
- knowledge of theatre safety and cleanliness;
- supervisory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- experience leading building teams for construction;
- experience doing carpentry for theatre;
- experience setting up and using stage lighting equipment;
- experience setting up and using sound equipment like speakers, amps, and microphones.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
