At Imperial we run theatres across five sites. We are looking to recruit into multiple anaesthetic, scrub, recovery and theatre practitioner roles.

You will gain experience working within: Neurosurgery, ENT, Breast surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology and renal, General, Cardiac, Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Hepatobillary.

As a Theatre Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) your role will be in Scrub and/or Anaesthetics and/or Recovery, delivering a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate all aspect of patient care, prepare patients and aid with clinical/operative procedures and participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
This post is suitable for students who are due to qualify this year who will hold a relevant qualification.

Requirements
Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professionals Council registration (HCPC)
Registered General Nurse OR Registered Operating Departmental Practitioner
Commitment to undertake an appropriate course of study
To have knowledge and understanding of all surgical specialities within the operating department
Evidence of continuing professional development.
