Description:

We are looking for highly motivated and ambitious Nurses/ODPs to join our already dynamic scrub team. We have 19 theatres on site delivering high quality care for the people of Stockport. We are fortunate enough to have the DA Vinci robot on site, delivering cutting edge surgery and enabling superb patient outcomes.
If successful you will be supported by our 5 Clinical practice leads who will guide you every step of the way and provide you with a bespoke training pack. We are a large but friendly department, intent on developing our staff and supporting their development needs.
We show our commitment to our teams through excellent development and progression opportunities, starting with a comprehensive Induction programme, so we’re proud to nurture and support our nurses to provide the very best care. In return, you’ll deliver our values, we care, we respect and we listen.
We will be holding a recruitment event on 30/03/24 in our operating Theatres. Please come and visit us. We can arrange interviews shortly after if needed.
The post holder will support the multi- disciplinary theatre team in the overall day to day running of a theatre or clinical area within the theatre footprint of Stepping Hill. You will ensure that high quality standards of care are delivered consistently. This position will be integral to our department in delivering a service second to none in the region. As a scrub practitioner you will be expected to assist all specialities within the theatre team, support and training will be provided by our Clinical Practice Leads.
We hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers.
We believe that the best organisations are those that reflect the communities they serve. We are therefore seeking to improve the diversity of our workforce to make it truly representative of our local population.
We actively encourage applications irrespective of race, age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage & civil partnership, or pregnancy or maternity. Recognising those communities that are underrepresented within our workforce, we would particularly welcome applications from you.
If you require support with your application please contact a member of the recruitment team, who can discuss alternative application methods.
We recognise that flexible working is important. We take requests for flexible working seriously, consider any request we receive and try to work with you, so we can explore if your request may fit with the needs of the service.
