TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an energetic, motivated and friendly Therapy Assistant to join our Allied Health Therapy team at Auckland Hospital for a permanent full-time role (40 hours per week) position. Working as part of a large team, you will be supporting the Allied Health Therapists to deliver care to patients and the key responsibilities will include:
- assisting the therapists in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- working with patients 1:1 and facilitating groups
- carrying out rehabilitation plans
- assisting with equipment tracking and general cleaning of equipment
- day-to-day administrative tasks
NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS
- Experience of working with people from a wide range of ages and cultures
- An understanding of rehabilitation, illness and disability
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit
- Basic computer skills.
- Health Care Assistant Level 4 qualification or equivalent desirable but not essential
- A clean, full NZ driving licence (manual driving skills preferable)
