Description:
Your Role
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled material scientist to join our team in the development of a prototype for an intraocular lens (IOL) implant. In this position, you will work together with our team of engineers, optical designers, and chemists to develop a novel lens implant that will improve the quality of life of people suffering from cataracts. The possibility to produce a Master’s Thesis is given during the 6 Month period of the offered position. Responsibilities
- Research on materials and methods suitable for manufacturing of IOL implants
- Designing and optimizing individual parts for a modular IOL system
- Developing of methods and manufacturing of an IOL prototype
- Perform testing and analysis on prepared IOL prototypes
Your Profile
- B.Sc. in Material Science, Engineering, Polymer chemistry or similar
- Experimental experience in analytics, preferably optical measurements
- Experience in designing biomaterial parts and related processing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
