QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in, and studies in Marketing, Communications, or other related field (in process or completed).
- Strong writing and research abilities.
- Written and verbal communication skills within today’s technologies, including social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people and teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- A commitment to the mandate of growing the business of MCCS Thrift Shops.
- An interest in the projects and programs of MCC Saskatchewan.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Proven ability to collaborate and produce desired outcomes.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking to projects.
- Self-starter with an ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to take initiative, while at the same time responding direction.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about interacting with customers and volunteers; demonstrated interpersonal skills with people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds; friendly and outgoing.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION
Saskatchewan has a population of 1.2 million people, 35% living in rural areas. The majority are 2nd-to-5th generation Canadians of European descent; 15% are of First Nations origin, 5% Metis. The MCC constituency includes churches, most belonging to Mennonite Church Saskatchewan and the SK Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. Rosthern Junior College, a Mennonite high school, is also a part of the constituency.
The MCC Saskatchewan office is located in the north industrial area of Saskatoon, a city of 210,000 which is a service and distribution centre supporting the surrounding area with commercial, technical, agricultural, transportation, health, educational, and other public services. The MCC Saskatchewan building accommodates MCC staff, a Material Resource Centre, some meeting spaces, and the offices of other organizations.
The MCCS Thrift network consist of 7 shops: Village Green MCC (Saskatoon), The MCC Clothes Basket (Rosthern), Community MCC Gift & Thrift (Lanigan), Warman MCC Thrift, Swift Current MCC Gift & Thrift, Swift Current MCC Furniture and Herbert MCC Thrift.
