E-commerce’s Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction, fostering a sustainable sales environment, and enhancing the purchase experience. The Experience Team is part of the GNE organization with a mission to deliver trustworthy and excellent experiences for every user of TikTok Shop. Within GNE, the Experience Team is seeking a Program Manager to tackle Buyer Abuse to create a trustworthy shopping environment and ensure the integrity of transactions. As a Buyer Abuse Prevention PM, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the TikTok E-commerce platform against fraudulent activities, unethical behavior, and abuse by buyers. Leveraging your expertise in risk management and data analysis, you will identify emerging trends, develop preventive measures, and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain a secure shopping ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor user activity and transactions to detect and investigate instances of buyer abuse
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent buyer abuse by identifying gaps in existing processes and developing new initiatives
  • Collaborate with product teams to enhance platform features and functionalities that deter fraudulent behavior and protect legitimate users.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of abuse prevention measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to customer support teams in handling abuse-related inquiries and escalations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Cybersecurity)
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce fraud prevention, risk management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and payment processing systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proven track record of implementing successful fraud prevention strategies and initiatives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving challenges

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $104711 - $188522 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
