Sweat and Tonic (S&T) is Toronto’s most innovative and exciting boutique fitness and wellness hub, offering the widest collection of expertly programmed Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and Ride group fitness classes in Canada. We create a curated, immersive fitness experience for sweat enthusiasts to challenge their minds and bodies within a community that grows, succeeds, and celebrates together. With premium spa facilities, high-tech biohacking amenities, café, and bar offerings, members can recharge, recover, and reignite. Tonic House, the multi-functional lounge, workspace, and event venue, inspires collaboration and innovation. Since opening in 2019, we’ve innovated and expanded our state-of-the art classes across multiple channels: In-studio, Sweat in the Park, Sweat Live, Sweat on Demand, and Sweat on the Roof – a one-of-a-kind, outdoor rooftop fitness studio in the heart of downtown Toronto. In 2023, we opened our first international sister location, Silver Springs, a boutique yoga and Pilates oasis in the heart of Los Angeles, and a new 25,000 sq.ft. immersive fitness & wellness hub in Toronto at The Well. • Ensure a first-class experience for every Tonic Spa guest that comes through the door
• Enure that operations are executed at the highest quality, and in a cost-effective way that aligns with S&T’s premium brand standards
• Take responsibility for hiring, training and retaining a team of 10 spa concierges and spa guides
• Manage a concierge and spa guide schedule which appropriately meets the demand of each shift
• Perform regualar formal and informal coaching sessions with your team
• Participate and contribute to the annual performance appraisal meetings for your team
• Manage the appointment book - proactively working days and weeks ahead to drive revenue and make daily decisions to maximise bookings
• Working as a team with practitioners, close sales on retail purchases of our skincare line
• Create and deliver a suite of concierge team SOPs ensuring that these remain up-to-date and well-communicated and consistently executed
• Plan inventory and purchase products for in-house use and for re sale
• Enforce all relevant health and safety and hygiene rules and ensure that the Spa remains compliant with all regulatory codes
• Report on monthly labour metrics
• Lead the spa team, fostering a collaborative coaching environment
• Become an expert in all modalities offered by Tonic Spa incuding touch therapies and biohacking technology.
• Build relationships with Tonic Spa guests, including nuturing regular guests and Club Transcend members.
• Find ways to continuously enhance the guest experience
• Other “ad-hoc” duties necessary to make S&T successful (a.k.a “other duties as assigned”)
