Tool and Die Maker

One of our automotive manufacturing clients in Simcoe, ON is looking for a Tool and Die Maker.
Shift - 8 hour bi-weekly Rotational

Responsibilities :

• Assist in diagnosing issues at stamping presses and repairing dies.
• Configure and operate milling machines, lathes, as well as surface grinders.
• Utilize a metric scale to measure die components.
• Disassemble and reassemble according to design specifications.
• Proficient in welding and operating various welding equipment.
• Prior experience in welding, profile grinding, and working on cutting edges and surfaces is advantageous.
• Conduct cleaning, polishing, grinding, and finishing of dies as required.
• Carry out routine maintenance on cast transfer and progressive dies.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Possess mechanical aptitude and demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Previous experience with progressive and transfer presses/dies is preferred.
• Capable of safely and effectively using hand tools.
