Topside Coordinator / Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION

Vard Design & Engineering is a part of VARD and leading in development of advanced and specialized vessel designs. Our solutions come together in a close partnership with clients, suppliers and our own shipyards. In a young and dynamic working environment, supported by the extensive experience base in the VARD group, we develop ship designs that are acknowledged globally.
We are now strengthening our Naval Architecture & Accommodation team within Functional Design with a Topside Coordinator, and we are looking for both young talents and seniors to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bsc or Msc ship design / product development
• Knowledge in 3D / 2D tools
• Knowledge with rules and regulations related to design and shipbuilding
• Good knowledge in English, both oral and written

• Project coordination with owner, supplier and class
• Participating in the pre-contractual technical specification, building specification and demarcation discussions
• Collaborating with the Hull and Outfitting Detail design departments in building yards
• Following up mission equipment FAT and HAT plans and participating if required.
• Coordinate the delivery yard production departments during installation and commissioning of top side equipment.
