POSITION SUMMARY

The Total Rewards Director (Compensation & Benefits) coordinates and manages the employee compensation and benefits programs and serves as the internal subject matter expert on the benefits offerings. This role defines and maintains oversight of BHI’s total rewards strategy, including benefits, compensation, and employee wellness to align with the company’s goals and competitive practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience administering compensation and/or benefits programs required.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Preferred:

  • Comp Certified Professional (CCP) and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred.

Travel expected 15%+
Salary based on experience $107-130k

Responsibilities:

  • Administers employee insurance programs including life, disability, health insurance plans, and employee savings plans that include the company’s 401(k) plan.
  • Leads relationships with our benefits broker and vendors and analyzes reports regularly to maintain a proactive approach.
  • Recommends alternative benefits offerings to Benefits Committee by studying team member survey results, trends, and developments in benefits offerings.
  • Coordinates the annual open enrollment period for benefits, executing as necessary to ensure a compliant and user-friendly experience.
  • Acts as the benefits subject-matter expert and assists the HR Generalists as needed with benefits-related questions and issues by interpreting benefits policies, procedures, and SPDs.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Deploys compensation plans including annual salary planning, merit increase process, salary structures, variable pay, and other incentive programs to ensure alignment with goals, initiatives, and budget.
  • Develops and oversees holistic employee wellness programs. Stays up to date on current trends in employee wellness to ensure BHI employees have relevant offerings.
