Location Description:
Hopkins, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Responsibilities:
MFI Total Rewards Director operates within a shared service framework, providing comprehensive compensation and benefits support tailored to the specific needs of MFI. This role is responsible for developing and implementing total rewards strategies that align with business objectives while adhering to corporate guidelines and industry best practices. The Director collaborates closely with HR partners, senior leadership, and external vendors to design and administer competitive compensation packages and employee benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Management: Design hourly compensation structures and execute/administer the administrative compensation structures, including base pay, bonuses, incentives, and equity programs, to attract and retain top talent.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the management of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks, ensuring compliance with regulations and competitive positioning.
  • Compliance and Governance: Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analysis tools to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize program performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business unit leaders, HR teams, finance, and other stakeholders to communicate total rewards strategies, solicit feedback, and address concerns effectively.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources or related discipline preferred.
  • 12+ years of overall and progressive HR experience with 8+ years of experience focused on Compensation/HR Systems/Benefits design.
  • Experience developing total rewards strategy, executive compensation and benefits, HR data analytics, and capability across HR operations and technology.
  • 5+ years’ experience partnering and contributing to technology strategy in a human resources environment, partnering with IT and leading business process analyses.
  • Successful experience with change management principles and a demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process from strategic planning through implementation and follow-through.
  • Experience with multiple cloud-based HCM systems, such as; UKG, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ADP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, etc.
  • Demonstrated expert written and verbal communication skills and a proven capability to present complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to a variety of audiences, including the highest level of the enterprise.
  • A strong aptitude for leading through influence, setting direction, and delivering results. Strong leadership, analytical, financial, and written communication skills.
  • A strong aptitude for analytical skills.
