Description:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

As one of our Preventative Maintenance Engineers, you will be maintaining our machine standards to optimum levels and maintaining TPM standards. We are looking for 2 preventative maintenance engineers on a permanent basis covering our weekend shift working twelve hour shifts each Friday, Saturday and Sunday (36 hours per week).

Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete line cleans & set cleaning standards.
  • Identify sources of contamination & create preventative measures to minimize or eliminate sources of contamination.
  • Expose and identify defects prior to completing minor rectifications.
  • Improve difficult to clean areas to reduce time requirements.
  • Maintain and lubricate basic equipment.
  • Create cleaning standards for daily shift cleans.
  • Rectify minor issues and provide feedback on pending issues.
  • Feedback and create ways to improve basic reliability issues and contamination reduction.
  • Conduct Lubrications/Service work on key areas.
  • Strip and refurbish back to standard areas where intrusive cleaning is required.
  • Ensure the machinery and work area is left in a clean and safe condition and ensure guarding is functioning and in place correctly.
  • Participate in contributing ideas and completing all tasks to improve TPM.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds ONC or HNC in a relevant technical/engineering discipline or time-served engineer.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a technical or engineering role.
  • Previous experience in a Leadership role
  • Experience in preventative maintenance.
  • Coming from a FMCG or fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic controls & experienced in diagnostics, repair & maintenance.
  • A flexible approach & enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety best practices to ensure safety of self and others.
