TPS 77 Radar Engineer
Alnwick, NE66 2AX
Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Salary dependent on experience £38,000 - £40,000
Serco Defence deliver a range of services and products to our customers and the MOD. Within this team, we are currently recruiting for a TPS77 Radars Engineer based at Brizlee Wood. You will help to maintain the TPS-77 Radar at Brizlee Wood radar ensuring that KPI targets, quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement and other contractual obligations are met at site.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Deliver 1st/ 2nd line Preventative maintenance on the TPS-77 Radar Systems
Deliver 1st/ 3rd line Corrective maintenance on the TPS-77 Radar Systems
Responsible for quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement and other contractual obligations are met with regards to the TPS-77 systems.
Engaging with the relevant internal and external organisations and key stakeholders in order to build and maintain Serco’s reputation.
Provide out of hours call out to support radar availability when required
Maintain and review radar technical manuals
Maintain and manage all tools and test equipment required to support TPS-77 system.
Support the Site Technical Manger to maximise the overall system availability
Spares management of the Brizlee Wood inventory
Provide a site support to Lockheed Martin when required
There will be a requirement to do a 2 month tour in the Falkland Islands every 18 – 24 months
There may be a requirement to backfill other radar technicians at sites around the UK
Responsibilities:
Holds recognised Electronics and electrical Qualification.
At least 2 years TPS-77 radar experience
Proven track record in maintaining the TPS-77 radar.
Understanding RAF processes
Proven track record of successful maintaining radar systems.
Proven practical and pragmatic understanding of service delivery
