We have a permanent full-time vacancy with our Production team based at our depot in Cannon Hill.
As a Trackworker you will be responsible for performing manual labour activities which can include maintaining rail lubrication equipment, assisting points and crossing welders and general labouring duties. This position is always in the field so you must be happy to work in a variety of weather conditions particularly hot temperatures.

• Carry out labouring duties, ensuring track safety is maintained and other duties as directed by the coordinator/supervisor when required
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
• Travel and perform outdoor work throughout the region, often in challenging weather conditions and/or high temperatures
• Work a 9-day fortnight which may consist of 7 days and 2 nights. You will be required to work weekends and public holidays depending on when your shifts.

• You will be rostered on to work every 2nd weekend and rostered off the other weekend

  About you:

• Hold a current ‘C’ class drivers licence

• Recent experience in a manual handling or physical labouring role
• A hard-working nature and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• You must have a strong commitment to safety – your safety and the safety of those around you
• Flexibility to work and travel across the district and work weekends
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team
• Rail lubricating experience or wire feeder/stick welding experience is advantageous
• MR truck licence, forklift or other licences / tickets are desirable
