Description:

We have an exciting position vacant for a Portfolio Manager in our Trade Advisory & structuring Team for Supply Chain Finance (SCF). SCF is part of the Working Capital Solutions product offered by ING Wholesale Banking and provides for working capital and cashflow optimization towards ING’s Wholesale Banking clients and their supplier base.
You will be working in a dynamic and diverse team of highly motivated professionals with a mission to establish ING as a global player in the evolving Supply Chain Finance market space. This business has a strong mandate to grow in the coming years.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • You have experience of working in an international environment and have experience and affinity with operations, account management and IT systems, ING Wholesale Banking and Transaction Services background would be preferred

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Portfolio Management team is a team of around 10 professional specialist, supported by a team of operational experts. The team is responsible for advising, implementing as well as maintaining and growing the portfolio of clients using ING’s Supply Chain Finance solution.
As a Portfolio Manager you will be the central contact point for our clients and you will have the responsibility to manage and coordinate the day to day working relationship with your own portfolio of clients, including the structuring and arranging of the asset distribution to other Financial Institutions.
You will work in a very dynamic and international environment, both internally within ING as externally with our clients, vendors and other financial institutions.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributing to and supporting the global TAS team with the execution / implementation of transaction processes, including Customer Due Diligence, PCRA, ESR and Rating processes.
  • Supporting the team with client pitches, supplier sales support and other commercial tasks.
  • You will be responsible for structuring and implementing the operational setup for new SCF programs. Onboarding of buyers and suppliers, refining the technical interface (formats), as well refining the operational setup to ensure for a smooth and automated daily processing
  • For the clients in your portfolio you will also remain the primary contact with respect to the day to day working relationship, supported by our central operations team.
  • You will be responsible for the overall coordination of the asset distribution within your programs to other Financial Institutions
  • You will pro-actively and regularly review and monitor your client’s performance
  • You will act as escalation point for any incident or mismatches in the daily operational tasks and settlements
  • Ensure appropriate communication with all internal stakeholders
  • Identifying and acting upon process improvement opportunities
