Responsibilities:

We seek an enthusiastic, driven and reliable individual to join our team in the Toowoomba Region, working on the Energy Queensland Network as an Assistant Asset Inspector (Trade Assistant). As an Assistant Asset Inspector , you are responsible for assisting the Asset Inspector in inspections and maintenance activities. The role is like an apprenticeship, providing you with the training, mentoring and experience so you can progress to Asset Inspector.
The role involves exciting and physically and mentally challenging work. We are seeking fit and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, with great development opportunities, travel, and social work involvement. Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Clearing the vegetation surrounding the base of power poles.
  • Report all potential and existing environmental hazards.
  • Conduct minor repairs on ground supports, stays, and other related components.
  • Assisted in all aspects of the asset inspection process as directed by the asset inspector.
  • Manual excavation around the base of power poles so that below-ground inspections can be conducted.
