Responsibilities:

Babcock is seeking a dedicated Trade Controls Specialist to lead and support the application and implementation of export control compliance for our diverse business. This role ensures adherence to our import and export control policies and procedures, with a particular focus on the U.S. International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
As the Trade Controls Specialist, you will manage all aspects of export and trade controls, acting as the central point of contact and subject matter expert. You will ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations from the U.S. (ITAR, EAR), U.K., Australia, and other applicable jurisdictions. This includes coordinating and forwarding license applications, providing export compliance expertise, and supporting internal stakeholders in evaluating compliance and implementing corrective actions.
Your responsibilities will also involve monitoring access controls for export-controlled technology, preparing and conducting implementation and corrective action plans, and instituting local reporting and governance frameworks for trade control matters. You will execute an internal audit program to identify non-compliance issues and oversee the implementation of corrective actions, ensuring that all procedures and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations.
