Description:

An agricultural company in Stellenbosch is seeking a meticulous and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Trade Execution Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of commodity movements and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Exposure to the Food/Feed/Agri commodity sector will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solution-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team while also achieving individual goals.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work under pressure.
  • Comfortable working after hours as required.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter and complete all entries of commodity movements data in the system.
  • Reconcile all contracts and investigate and resolve stock differences in collaboration with the inventory coordinator.
  • Measure margins on physical delivery.
  • Ensure settlement of all contracts once completed and in accordance with contract payment terms.
  • Inform customers about order status, invoices, contract balances, and other necessary information to complete the sale.
  • Plan for customer contract delivery in collaboration with the logistics team.
  • Identify efficiency & cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Resolve all customer queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated tasks are completed efficiently to support business objectives and customers.
  • Handle basic issues and problems, escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain good relationships and open communications with customers and internal parties.

SPECIFIC OVERVIEW OF ROLE & PROCESS:

  • High level of administration, primarily using Microsoft Excel and an integrated ERP system.
  • Daily liaisons with customers and logistics regarding requirements, planning, offload points, and stock levels.
  • Collaboration with various departments, especially traders, invoicing, and contract & inventory desk.
  • Communication with customers and transporters often occurs after hours and on weekends.
  • Fast-paced, high-pressure work environment with significant daily movements and seasonal harvest volumes.
